This innovation laid the foundation for all of the automatic monitors used today. All electronic blood pressure monitor utilise A&D oscillometric technology.
- A&D’s oscillometric technology was first introduced in their UA-500 Series for consumer use in 1984.
- Our Japanese patent (JPH0628637B2) filed in 1984 describes a digital sphygmomanometer using oscillometric principles. Redefining blood pressure measurement using using a pressure sensor, RC oscillating circuit, and digital data processing to determine blood pressure.

Still waiting to receive my item.
A medium cuff is not big enough to get a true reading for me, as told by my doctor. This was a perfect fit. Happy with my product.
It's quite big! Sometimes it comes up with cuff error when I'm using it, which it didn't with the original adult cuff that came with the machine. I've seen reviews online from people who have also had this issue, not sure why. But by readjusting it, I can get it to work.
You assume that people with fat arms also have long arms, which is not always the case. Cuff went round my arm but went all the way from armpit to elbow crook so very painful and impossible to get a correct reading. Repurposed the attachment to the machine with another cuff. You get 2 stars for good service, none for the cuff.
