This innovation laid the foundation for all of the automatic monitors used today. All electronic blood pressure monitor utilise A&D oscillometric technology.
- A&D’s oscillometric technology was first introduced in their UA-500 Series for consumer use in 1984.
- Our Japanese patent (JPH0628637B2) filed in 1984 describes a digital sphygmomanometer using oscillometric principles. Redefining blood pressure measurement using using a pressure sensor, RC oscillating circuit, and digital data processing to determine blood pressure.
